Imaginate Festival

Just in case you are planning a trip to Edinburgh in May one of the events happening in the city that is definitely worth trying to get tickets for is the Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival. Described as 'The World's Best Theatre for Children and Young People' I would also add for adults too.

With both national and international performers, this festival, which I have been going to for over ten years, offers some of the most exciting and innovative theatre, dance and puppetry that I have ever seen.

Some of the performances and performers this year that I have seen before and can highly recommend are the truly magical Cinderella by Shona Reppe Puppets

and the incredible choreography of Cie etantdone from France.

The festival runs from 10 May to 16 May 2010 with many of the performers then touring the UK.

Please note that there is no guarantee that the sun will be shining or it will be even warm in Edinburgh at this time. Right now it is blowing a gale, freezing, raining and snowing!
