A Piece of Cake for November

...comes from the inside of these bowls.

Guy Benadon designed a series of three melamine bowls, each associated with different cake recipes. The recipes are inserted into the bowl – the concept is to insert and measure the ingredients in the bowl in the order in which they appear on the marks inside. It’s kind of a no-brainer way of whipping up a quick dessert using one simple product. (via Design Milk)

As much as I like the idea of less mess, less cleaning up, an enticing picture of a cake, however, will win me over every time.

And these Marzipan and Pear Cupcakes with Caramel Butter Cream look delicious!

And these Muppets Cake Pops look adorable!

  1. These Guy Benadon's bowls are a brilliant idea!!! I always try to use the less possible dishes and bowls when I cook a cake but in the end there's always too many dishes to wash!

  2. brilliant indeed! Hope they do become available in the US, I might just start baking again...

  3. These bowls look very nice ... maybe even a non baking person like me can fix a dessert in these!

Oh and by the way, my 2 blogs are not in the air due to a move to a new surver!

  4. Oooh, these bowls are gorgeous. What a fab colour combo and lovely matt finish. A great idea - thanks for pointing them out.....roll on Christmas pressies!
