The Details

This dress is a combination of a few ideas.

Variations on a bodice, neckline, tie wrap.

The bodice of the red dress is extra wide so that when the ties are pulled to the front, before being wrapped around the waist, a lovely fold is created at the sides. And to minimise bulkiness, the pleating of the skirt is only at the centre of the front and back - no pleating on the sides. The edges of the collar are left unfinished so will fray exposing the contrasting deep orange colour of the taffeta

The side skirt can be either pulled up to create a lovely fold effect or left to hang down.

A simple twist on a familiar classic dress.
